On the visit to the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Cinema and Photo Documents» by the delegation of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) on archival business
From April 12 to April 13, 2023, a delegation of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan (Russian Federation) on Archival Affairs visited the archival institutions of Belarus in order to conclude a Memorandum of Cooperation – Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Archival Affairs Gulnara Zakariyevna Gabdrakhmanova and Director of the State Budgetary Institution «State Archive of the Republic of Tatarstan» Bakhtiyar Railevich Fakhrutdinov.
On April 13, a delegation of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Archiving, as well as the Deputy Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Aleksey Evgenyevich Tsvetkov, visited the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents» (hereinafter – BGAKFFD). The guests of honor listened to the director’s report on the main activities of the BGAKFFD, implemented and planned projects. Also, the members of the delegation were given the opportunity to get acquainted with the storage of audiovisual documents, modern technologies and equipment for converting documents into digital format.
The representatives of the delegation were interested in the collections of documents dedicated to the activities of the Tatars on the territory of Belarus, the interaction of peoples in various fields of science, art, industry, the feat of Tatarstan soldiers on the territory of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War.
The guests noted the high level of professionalism of the staff of the BGAKFFD in the preservation of historical heritage. During the meeting, A.N. Gonchar and G.Z. Gabdrakhmanova stressed the need for interaction between the archival sectors of Belarus and Tatarstan. A number of areas of mutual cooperation were identified, in particular, the implementation of joint projects in order to popularize archival documents and preserve the common historical heritage.
