On conducting a sightseeing tour in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

On April 5, 2023, in the Year of Peace and Creation, the «Archives for School» campaign, employees of the State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region conducted an excursion for 10th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.23».

Head of the Department for the Use of Documents Shevchik T.V. and the leading archivist of the use department Bryuzgina S.N. told about the defense of the city of Mogilev in July 1941, about the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War and familiarized schoolchildren with documentary exhibitions prepared by the archive staff, based on archival documents on the topics: «Defense of Mogilev», «Partisan memory», «Genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War». A quiz was held for schoolchildren on the topic: «The Great Patriotic War».

Head of the Department for ensuring the safety of documents and funds Bartsuleva S.V. conducted a tour of the archive repository, during which the students got acquainted with the activities of the archive for the preservation of documents, with the composition of the stored documents, the mode of their storage.

During the excursion, the schoolchildren got acquainted with the museum exposition «The History of the Party Archive».
