Conducting an excursion for cadets of the Institute of the Border Guard Service of the Republic of Belarus

On April 5, 2023, as part of the “Archives for School” campaign, as well as events dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation, an excursion was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus for cadets of the Institute of the Border Guard Service of the Republic of Belarus.

During the excursion, the researcher of the publications department T.N. Ageenko spoke about the history of the archive, the composition and features of the storage of documents, the exhibition and publication activities of archivists. The guests visited the archives, where they got acquainted with documents on the formation and development of the Belarusian statehood, materials from the period of the Great Patriotic War (documents of partisan formations, cards of those driven to Germany, albums of destroyed cities), etc. At the end of the tour, the cadets asked numerous questions about finding information on the history of their families.
