The Department for Archives and Records Management held a workshop on electronic recordkeeping and preservation of electronic records

The Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry of the Republic of Belarus (the Department) held a regular workshop on electronic recordkeeping and preservation of electronic records for representatives of central authorities and government institutions subordinate to the Government of the Republic of Belarus, and regional executive committees.

In opening the Workshop, First Deputy Director of the Department O. A. Ledovskaya underlined the importance of issues related to the creation of modern archival information systems and enhancement of multiagency information coordination.

The event took place in “question-answer” format on topics proposed by government agencies and institutions.

The Workshop discussed issues related to electronic recordkeeping systems; storage of electronic records in institutional archives; preservation of electronic records by the State; multiagency coordination systems; records systems for institutional archives; electronic recordkeeping of appeals and inquiries from citizens.

The Workshop was organized by the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry, the Belarusian Research Center for Electronic Records, the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archival Science, the National Center for Electronic Services.
