The National Historical Archives of Belarus received a delegation of government officials from Lublin Province in Poland
On 15 March 2019 the National Historical Archives of Belarus received a delegation of government officials from Lublin Province in the Republic of Poland. The delegation included Adviser to the Governor of Lublin Province Bartosz Rybak, Deputy to the Polish Parliament Ryszard Szczygiel and Second Secretary for Public and Cultural Affairs at the Polish Embassy in Belarus Elzbieta Iniewska.
During the meeting with the Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry of the Republic of Belarus Victor Kourash and Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus Dmitry Yatsevich, they discussed the perspectives of participation by archival and research institutions in both countries in the events dedicated to the 450th anniversary of the Union of Lublin.
The guests got acquainted with the history and composition of archival holdings of the National Historical Archives of Belarus. During the tour of the Archives the representatives of government agencies of Lublin Province acquainted with the act books of court institutions and town councils in the Lublin Province of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth from the 16th-17th centuries, which are held at the National Historical Archives of Belarus.
