The National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus held a press conference dedicated to the Archives Day

On 4 October 2018 the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus held a press conference dedicated to the Archives Day.

Participants at the press conference included First Deputy Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Justice Ministry O. Biryukova, Deputy Director of the National Archives E. Kushnova, Director of the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art A. Zapartyko and Chief Editor of the Archives and Records Management Journal S. Asinovsky.

Participants speaking at the press conference covered basic issues of work at the state archives in Belarus, and particularly about the activities of the National Archives, the Literature and Art Archives and the Archives Journal.

The press conference specifically addressed the issue of organizing the archives of electronic records as part of the development of electronic recordkeeping in government institutions and other organizations in Belarus. The speakers also noted on the perspectives of cooperation in this field with the National Archives of Finland.
