Staff from the Slutsk Zonal State Archive participated in the «A United People is Great» ceremony dedicated to National Unity Day

On September 17, 2026, staff from the Slutsk Zonal State Archive took part in the «A United People is Great» ceremony dedicated to National Unity Day. The event was held at the Slutsk City House of Culture.

Vladimir Goga, Chairman of the Slutsk District Executive Committee, welcomed the participants:

«Today, the Slutsk district, together with all of Belarus, celebrates our newest state holiday—National Unity Day. It has become a part of our lives as a tribute to the pivotal and heroic events in our country’s history and as a remembrance of an act of profound historical justice: the reunification of Western and Eastern Belarus. It reminds us of simple truths: the people’s strength lies in unity; love for one’s homeland is the key to its power and prosperity; and mutual respect forms the foundation of peace and harmony among people.

Belarusians have always remained true to the tradition of national solidarity in the name of the Motherland’s freedom. A readiness to stand up for and defend our country is ingrained in our character. Today, the patriotism of each of us and our sense of responsibility for the fate of the Fatherland help us overcome modern challenges and enhance the country’s spiritual and economic potential.

As we celebrate this wonderful holiday, we believe that our wisdom, industriousness, and spirituality will help us remain a united people in a peaceful country—a people bound together by a glorious history and a shared concern for the present and future of our children».
