On the participation of the State Archives of the Gomel Region in a gala event dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the formation of the legendary Bolshevik partisan detachment

Yuri Shestopalov, Director of the State Archives of the Gomel Region, along with the institution’s activists and Gomel communists, participated in a gala event dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the formation of the legendary Bolshevik partisan detachment. The event took place at the Partisan Krinichka memorial complex near Gomel, on the site of the detachment’s founding.

A tribute to the memory of the people who, back in August 1941, chose the path of resistance and struggle against the fascist invaders and their collaborators, a tribute to the memory of the people who gave us peace and freedom—this is sacred memory and our human duty, which we preserve and cherish in our hearts, telling our children, the younger generation, and all good people who hate fascism and its destructive ideas.

The event was attended by leaders of the Gomel Region, the city of Gomel, and regional enterprises, parties, and public associations. The State Archives of the Gomel Region were represented by Director Yu.V.Shestopalov, Secretary of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) of the State Archives of the Gomel Region, A.A.Artemyeva, and Chair of the Belaya Rus NGO of the State Archives of the Gomel Region, V.E.Rudenko.
