Through the pages of history and tradition: NIA Belarus staff members took a sightseeing tour
On August 15, 2026, staff members of the National Historical Archives of Belarus embarked on a fascinating sightseeing tour, the route of which combined masterpieces of national architecture with the country’s contemporary cultural and gastronomic brands.
The Minsk City Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions organized this rich and colorful tour.
The first stop on the route was the historical complex in Kreva. The archivists touched the walls of the legendary Kreva Castle, learned little-known facts about the signing of the Union of Kreva in 1385, and immersed themselves in the atmosphere of the medieval fortification.

The tour route then passed through the village of Gervyaty. Here, the participants visited the famous Trinity Church, often called the «Belarusian Notre Dame» for its monumental neo-Gothic architecture and magnificent landscaped park. The highlight of the visit was an exclusive organ concert. The powerful sound of the instrument under the church’s vaults left an unforgettable impression on the orchestra.

The archive staff spent the afternoon learning about the industrial potential and culinary traditions of the regions.
Specialists from the National Archives of Belarus visited Naroch Distillery LLC, an ancient enterprise with a rich history, where they learned about modern technologies for producing traditional beverages and the stages of plant modernization.

The tour concluded with a visit to the GrandMilk artisan cheese factory. The factory’s employees revealed the secrets of cheesemaking, described production from the very beginning to the aging chamber, and worked with the tour participants to make an Italian cheese from the Pasta Filata family. The factory’s guests were invited to taste the best samples of their products.

The joint trip not only broadened the employees’ horizons and enriched their knowledge of the historical and cultural heritage of Belarus but also served as an excellent incentive for strengthening team spirit.
