About conducting an excursion for the participants of the republican gathering of the «Heirs of Victory» search teams in the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus

On June 25, 2026, the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter – NARB) was visited by the participants of the republican gathering of the «Descendants of Victory» search teams.

The deputy director of NARB, candidate of scientific sciences, gave a welcoming speech to the guests S.V.Kulinok.

For the participants of the republican meeting, the heads of departments of NARB Dorogush I.V. and Yurkevich O.Yu. sightseeing tours of the archive were conducted. The children learned about the history of the creation of NARB and the main directions of its activity, about the composition and features of document storage, as well as about the possibility of using archival documents in writing research papers for the development of the search movement in the Republic of Belarus.

The guests of the archive visited the archives of funds of partisan formations and funds of personal origin, where they got acquainted with the conditions of document storage, as well as documentary sources on the history of the partisan movement and personal archives of state, party and public figures, scientists of Belarus, and others.

As part of the events organized by the archive for the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the students were shown the video «We remember ..», created by NARB employees with the help of AI.

The tour, organized by NARB for activists of the search movement, was aimed at developing their interest in preserving the historical memory of the heroic past of the Belarusian people.
