«Day of Remembrance and Sorrow»: Employees of the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno took part in a memorial service

June 22nd is National Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People. On this day, mourning events, memorial services, and memorial events are held across the country. Traditionally, those who preserve the documentary history of those years—employees of state archives—also participate in these events.

Archivists actively work with authentic evidence of tragedy and heroism: orders, letters from the front, and eyewitness accounts. For them, National Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People has special significance. It is not just a calendar date, but a professional duty to preserve the truth about the war for future generations.

On June 22, 2026, employees of the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno participated in a district memorial service, honoring the memory of the victims of the Great Patriotic War with a moment of silence and laying flowers at the Eternal Flame at the foot of the obelisk in honor of the liberators in Molodechno’s Victory Park.
