On June 11, 2026, Natalia Nikolaevna Zmitrevich, Senior Prosecutor of the Grodno Region Prosecutor’s Office, held a preventive training session at the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno on the topic of «Up-to-date information on the progress of the criminal investigation into the genocide of the population of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period». The institution’s staff was informed about previously unknown instances of genocide in the Grodno Region. Zmitrevich noted the assistance of archival institutions in this area of the prosecutor’s office’s work.
