Open Day at the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno, timed to coincide with International Archives Day

On June 9, 2026, an Open Day was held at the National Historical Archives of Belarus in Grodno to coincide with International Archives Day. Visitors were given individual consultations on fulfilling requests and working with archival documents in the archive’s reading room. Guests also had the opportunity to take a tour of the archival institution. As part of the event, a group of museum directors from educational institutions in the Grodno Region visited the archive. A thematic tour, «The Past in Documents: An Archivist’s Perspective», was prepared especially for them. Visitors learned about the history of the archival service, the archive’s main activities, visited the exhibition hall, and observed the restoration of archival documents.
