«Archives for Schools» Campaign at the Zonal State Archives in Lida

The first days of summer at the Zonal State Archives in Lida were eventful and productive. During the first week of summer, the archive was visited by students in grades 1-7 from Lida Secondary Schools Nos. 8, 10, 11, 14, and 17, who are attending summer school camps. The students participated in lessons on «Introduction to Archival Studies» and tours of the archives, including visits to exhibitions.

Archives staff also conducted master classes on the topic «Learning to Write with a Pen».

Archivists told the students about state archival institutions in our country and their work, introducing them to the history of the Zonal State Archives in Lida and its main activities. The students thoroughly enjoyed their time and were able to try their hand at being archivists.

Students from Lida schools also watched documentaries produced by the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Archive.
