For International Museum Day

For International Museum Day, celebrated annually on May 18, the Zonal State Archives in Navahrudak has prepared an exhibition entitled «Novohrudak Region in Museums».

The documents and photographs on display tell the story of the restoration of the Adam Mickiewicz House-Museum, destroyed during the Great Patriotic War and now a city landmark, the opening of the Navahrudak Museum of History and Local Lore, and the creation of its unique exhibition, the «Museum of Jewish Resistance», in 2007.

A separate section of the exhibition is dedicated to the activities of the Mir Castle Complex Museum, including its most significant exhibition and publishing projects, and the development of the «Musical Evenings at Mir Castle» festival, which for many years attracted lovers of good open-air music to the town of Mir.
