Congratulations to the staff of the National Historical Archives of Belarus on Family Day

May 15th is Family Day in the Republic of Belarus. A strong family is the foundation of national development.

Mikhail Glushakov, Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus, congratulated the archive’s staff at a ceremonial meeting, wishing them daily care from loved ones, the joy of their children’s successes, and the warmth and attention of their grandchildren.

An exhibition of documents entitled «Organization of Charitable Assistance to the Families of Military Personnel and Refugees in Belarus During the First World War» has been prepared for the event. The exhibition features information on the number of refugees in Belarusian cities and towns, reports from local authorities, public organizations, and educational institutions on the organization of assistance to the families of refugees, evacuated workers and employees, and the wives and widows of military personnel, as well as reports on the creation of student agricultural labor brigades to assist households left without breadwinners.
