On April 27, 2026, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» project, workshops and seminars were held for students of the P.M.Masherov Vitebsk State University at the Vitebsk Region State Archives

During the workshops, groups of Romance and Germanic Philology students learned about the history of archival work in Belarus, the archive’s main objectives and areas of activity, and the range of documents stored there. They also gained an understanding of archival research in the archive’s reading room. During the event, the documentary film «Chernobyl: Chronicles of a Tragedy», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, was shown. Two groups also took a tour of the archive.
