A Memory Lesson dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant tragedy was held for students of the Polotsk State Forestry College

As part of the national «Archives for School» and «Young Archivist» campaigns, the Polotsk Zonal State Archives organized a meeting at which Marina Mikhailovna Dichkevich, Head of the Document Use and Publication Department, conducted an informative lesson.

During the event, students viewed an exhibition of documents and photographs entitled «40 Years of the Chernobyl Tragedy», which provided a deeper understanding of the scale of the disaster and its consequences. The exhibition included archival materials, newspaper articles, and photographs.

A documentary film, «Chernobyl: Chronicles of a Tragedy», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, was also shown.
