Archivists from the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno held a series of events commemorating the International Day of the Liberation of Nazi Concentration Camp Prisoners

On the eve of the commemorative date — International Day of the Liberation of Nazi Concentration Camp Prisoners — archivists from the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno visited Secondary School No.9 in Molodechno, presenting materials about the Stalag 342 memorial to the victims of the war, where more than 33,000 people were tortured and killed during the Nazi occupation. The presentation of the concentration camp that operated in Molodechno during the war, the history of the memorial’s construction, and a display of archival documents were complemented by a screening of a thematic issue of the author’s media project, «Archival Bulletin», which contributed to a deeper understanding of the scale of the tragedy.

On April 15, archivists also held an event dedicated to the International Day of Liberation of Nazi Concentration Camp Prisoners for students of Molodechno Gymnasium No.3. Additionally, the students were given a tour of the archive, during which staff members spoke about the institution’s activities, collections, and the importance of preserving historical memory.
