The Rechitsa Regional State Archives presents a document on the establishment of the Rechitsa District Lyceum

In the early 2000s, the Rechitsa District recognized the need to provide capable and talented children from the city and rural areas with the opportunity to receive a quality education and develop their creative abilities. In response, the Rechitsa District Executive Committee issued Resolution No.2302 on December 24, 2003, which laid the foundation for the establishment of the Rechitsa District Lyceum (F.348. Op.1. D.1021. L.72). The new educational institution opened in the building of a former school at 55 Sovetskaya Street and admitted its first 10th-grade students on September 1, 2004.

The primary goal of the lyceum was and remains the creation of favorable conditions for the development of students’ creative and intellectual potential, the assimilation of general educational values, and the formation of cultured and educated individuals who are conscious in their choice of future profession. The Lyceum devotes considerable time to independent research, and the flexible structure of electives allows for students’ individual educational needs to be taken into account. From the very beginning, the institution has implemented a student self-government system, the Lyceum Republic.
