On April 3, 2026, the Minsk-Novosti news agency website published a report by correspondent Olga Ropat on the opening of the art and documentary exhibition «Mountain Roads. Caucasus» at the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMA). The exhibition is dedicated to a significant date – the 100th anniversary of the birth of Boris Arakcheyev, an outstanding artist, teacher, and Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus.
Exhibition curator and leading archivist in the Information, Publication, and Document Use Department, Tatyana Anpilogova, spoke about the documentary portion of the exhibition. The exhibition includes unique archival materials and biographical documents revealing the artist’s professional development and his contribution to Belarusian art. The artist’s daughter, Oksana Arakcheyeva, presented the artistic concept for the project. The core of the imagery is formed by sketches created by Boris Vladimirovich during two trips to the House of Artists in Khosta. These works reveal a «different» Arakcheev to the viewer.
