A Roundtable Discussion at the State Archives of the Brest Region

On March 25, 2026, a roundtable event was held at the State Archives of the Brest Region. Representatives of the district methodological association of history teachers and heads of military-patriotic education at educational institutions in the Leninsky District of Brest, affiliated with the State Institution «Educational and Methodological Office of the Leninsky District of Brest», participated in the event.

Archive Director Anna Karapuzova spoke about the archive’s history, its main activities, and the composition and content of the documents stored there.

The participants discussed the role of the archive and archival documents in the educational process, with a special emphasis on documents from the Great Patriotic War.

Furthermore, guests were shown the film «On the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Brest from Nazi Invaders», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents. During the archive tour, teachers were able to learn more about the archivist profession and the conditions for preserving archival documents.
