On the «Archives for School» campaign at the State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region

As part of the celebrating the 85th anniversary of the defense of Mogilev and the «Archives for School» campaign, the State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region conducted seven excursions in the first quarter of 2026 for students from secondary schools No.6, 11, 17, 24, and 41, as well as students from A.A.Kuleshov Mogilev State University.

During the excursions, the students learned about the history of the archive, its main activities, its collections and the specifics of working with them, and the conditions for storing documents. They also viewed exhibitions in the archive’s reading room: «The Defense of Mogilev», «The Partisan Movement», «Young Anti-Fascist Heroes in Their Hometown», and «The Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War».

Also, as part of the Year of Belarusian Women and the «Belarusian Women – Bright Destinies» project, the reading room is presenting a documentary exhibition dedicated to Zinaida Kuzminichna Chumakova, an excellent educator, Honored Teacher of the Republic of Belarus, Honorary Veteran of Teaching, and Chairperson of the Mogilev City Branch of the Belarusian Union of Women.

During the tours, a documentary film, «The Defense of Mogilev in 1941», was shown.
