A memorial service was held in Babruisk in memory of every fallen Belarusian and every burned village
83 years ago, on March 22, 1943, the village of Khatyn was wiped off the face of the earth along with its inhabitants. This tragedy became a symbol of all the burned villages of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War.
A memorial service was held near the «Victims of Fascism» memorial complex in memory of every fallen Belarusian and every burned village.
The event was attended by city officials, representatives of businesses and organizations, as well as Valentin Glekov, Chairman of the Babruisk City Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions, and Elena Zayats, Director of the Zonal State Archives in Babruisk.
