Participation in the Unified Memory Lesson of the Zonal State Archives in Novogrudok

In anticipation of the 83rd anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy and Remembrance Day for the Burned Villages, the Zonal State Archives in Novogrudok participated in the Unified Memory Lesson at the Novogrudok State College of Technology and Security.

Students recalled the tragic history of the Belarusian village of Khatyn and examined archival documents detailing the atrocities committed by Nazi invaders in the Novogrudok region during the occupation, including the burning of villages during punitive actions and the numerous casualties of the war.

Finally, the students discussed the importance of protecting historical truth and preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War today.
