On the Participation of the Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in the Dialogue Platform of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus as Part of the «Be in Law» Project

On March 16, 2026, a dialogue platform dedicated to Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus was held at the International University «MITSO» as part of the national legal project of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus «Be in Law».

One of the speakers was U.A.Kolobaeva, Head of the Publications Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, who presented a report entitled «The Activities of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in Preserving the Historical Memory of the Events of the Great Patriotic War».

The event was attended by students from the Law Faculty of BSU and MITSO.

In her speech, the speaker noted that the history of the Great Patriotic War occupies a special place in the moral and cultural structure of our state and our people. The Constitution, the main law of the Republic of Belarus, states that «the State shall ensure the preservation of historical truth and the memory of the heroic deeds of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War». Article 54 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus also enshrines the provision that «The manifestation of patriotism and the preservation of the historical memory of the heroic past of the Belarusian people are the duty of every citizen of the Republic of Belarus».

U.A.Kolobaeva emphasized that the archives of Belarus, and the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in particular, are the primary guardians of the historical truth and historical memory of our state. She also noted that the multi-million-dollar National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus is not only a documentary treasure trove of our country, but also the primary source of historical truth.
