«Modern Belarusian Woman: Civic Position, Traditions, and the Future». Director of the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno, I.Z.Pudakevich, participated in a party dialogue platform

Inna Pudakevich, Director of the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno, presented a report at the dialogue platform «Modern Belarusian Woman: Civic Position, Traditions, and the Future». The event, which brought together young professionals from the district to discuss the role of women in the country’s destiny, was organized by the district branch of the Belaya Rus party.

In her report, «Woman: Keeper of Traditions and Driver of New Opportunities», referring to history, Inna Pudakevich recalled iconic female figures who have become symbols of wisdom, strength, and creativity: the enlightener Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the heroine Vera Khoruzhaya, and our contemporary, the first female cosmonaut of sovereign Belarus, Marina Vasilevskaya. «Each of them, in their time, expanded the horizons of what was possible, while at the same time remaining the embodiment of the best qualities that have always been inherent in women of our land: wisdom, hard work, and caring for others», the speaker noted. Inna Pudakevich moved from historical examples to the image of the woman of the future. Drawing on current research and public initiatives, such as the «People’s Five-Year Plan», she outlined five important areas in which the role of women in Belarusian life can develop by 2030.

Particular attention was paid to the harmonious combination of family values and professional fulfillment. The speaker emphasized that modern technologies and flexible forms of employment open up new opportunities, allowing women to successfully develop their professional potential while remaining the soul and keeper of the family hearth. Speaking about the economy of the future, Inna Pudakevich emphasized the importance of engaging young women in scientific and technical fields, so that professions such as engineering or IT specialists become as natural and familiar for women as teaching or medicine. Supporting motherhood and childhood remains a constant priority, especially given the observed trend toward later first births. In her speech, the archive director also touched on the topic of women’s social calling: «Belarus has always been and remains a platform for negotiations, a bridge between cultures. And here, women’s diplomacy, the ability to listen and hear, and find compromises—this is our ‘soft power,’ which can help strengthen peace and mutual understanding».

Concluding the dialogue with young professionals, Inna Pudakevich emphasized that the Year of Belarusian Women is not just a calendar date, but an opportunity to look into the future and work together to build a country where every woman can realize her calling. «The future of Belarus is being created today, and women have a special, inspiring role in this creation. Let our shared path be one of harmony, peace, and confidence in the future», the archive director concluded.

Kalina Kaputskaya, Chair of the Molodechno District Office of the Minsk Region’s Belaya Rus Public Organization, and Elena Volovik, a teacher at the Chistinskaya Secondary School in the Molodechno District, also delivered presentations. Young professionals actively participated in the discussion, confirming that the topic of intergenerational continuity and the role of women in the development of society and the state remains significant and important for the youth of the Molodechno region.
