The Archives of Belarus website has published an electronic version of the book «Thematic Workshops «Archives of Importance» (Vitebsk Region)

The publication presents the texts of speeches given during thematic workshops «Archives of Importance: The History of the Vitebsk Region in Faces», organized in 2023 in the cities of Vitebsk, Glubokoye, Orsha, and Polotsk at the initiative of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions and the Main Justice Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Representatives from state archives, libraries, and museums spoke about prominent figures from the Vitebsk region: Pyotr Masherov, Fyodor Shmakov, David Simanovich, Pyotr Rubis, Zinaida Konopelko, Evgeniya Shipilo, Zinaida Tusnolobova-Marchenko, Maria Chumanikhina, and others.

The publication is intended for historians, archivists, museum workers, local historians, librarians, teachers, and students.
