The Rechitsa Regional State Archives presents a document on the unveiling of a memorial plaque in Rechitsa to M.F. Mitrakhovich, a surgeon and honorary citizen of the Rechitsa District

Mikhail Mitrakhovich (1930-2019), a prominent surgeon, orthopedist, and traumatologist, lived and worked in Rechitsa for many years. His personal papers are permanently preserved at the Rechitsa State Archives. Even years after his death, residents of the Rechitsa Region, who owe their life and health to Mikhail Mitrakhovich, remember him fondly as a highly qualified specialist and simply a caring person.

The leadership of the Rechitsa District also contributed to the commemoration of M.F.Mitrakhovich. On August 28, 2020, Resolution No.2331 of the Rechitsa District Executive Committee was adopted to install a memorial plaque to Mikhail Fedosevich on the building at 8 Snezhkova Street, where he lived. The plaque was unveiled on May 1, 2021, in the presence of representatives of the district administration, public organizations, the doctor’s widow, Olimpiada Yakovlevna, his colleagues, and ordinary citizens.
