Lessons for students of V.I.Kremko Secondary School No.40 in Grodno as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign at the State Archives of the Grodno Region

On February 5, 2026, as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign, the State Archives of the Grodno Region held two lessons on the topic «The Role of Archives in Preserving Historical Heritage» for 8th and 9th grade students of V.I.Kremko Secondary School No.40 in Grodno.

Archives staff explained the composition of the institution’s documents and its main areas of work; they also demonstrated the most valuable documentary materials, which provide unique evidence of the historical past of the Grodno region. The students were also treated to exhibitions of documents and collections of documentary materials prepared by the State Archives of the Grodno Region.

Students were given a tour of the archive, visiting the Document Digitization and Restoration Department and the archival storage facility.
