«Archives for School» and «STEP» at Secondary School No.11 in Rechitsa

On January 22, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the «School of Active Citizens» project, a class was held for ninth-grade students at Secondary School No.11.

In honor of the Year of Belarusian Women, staff from the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa told the students about the archive’s founder, World War II veteran Valentina Lutsenko. The students learned about Valentina’s difficult military career, serving as a nurse on ambulance trains, at the front, and in a partisan detachment, and viewed documents from her collection.

A documentary about the Berezina Biosphere Reserve, produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, was also shown to the audience.
