On the Extended Meeting of the Directorate of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive

On January 21, 2026, an extended meeting of the directorate was held at the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive to summarize the archive’s work for 2025. Oleg Leonidovich Voinov, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, attended the meeting.

Director Andrei Nikolaevich Gonchar delivered a detailed report on the archive’s work over the past year. In his speech, he covered in detail the archive’s activities in the areas of acquisition, state registration, preservation, and use of audiovisual documents from the National Archival Fund, as well as issues of strengthening the material and technical base and financing. A.N.Gonchar noted that, despite the challenges of working during major renovations, all planned targets were met and exceeded in 2025 and thanked the team for their coordinated and effective work.

O.L.Voinov, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, summarized the directorate’s work, highlighting key issues and outlining goals for 2026, the main ones being the completion of major renovations and ensuring the safety of documents and equipment during construction.

Based on these results, N.V.Novikova, Head of the Engineering and Maintenance Department, was awarded a commendation from the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus. Archival certificates were awarded to G.I.Manchorova, Deputy Head of the Document and Collections Preservation Department; O.F.Chernenko, Lead Archivist of the State Accounting and Scientific Reference Department; and I.P. Moskaleva, First Qualification Category Archivist of the Technical Control Department.

The Document Digitization Department was recognized as the best department in the archive based on its 2025 performance, and M.V.Garelik, Deputy Head of the Document and Information Usage Department, was named the best employee.

Following the directorate meeting, a meeting on construction matters was held with the participation of representatives of the contractor, chaired by O.L.Voinov, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
