On the Meeting of a Gomel City Council Deputy with the Staff of the State Archives of the Gomel Region

On January 21, 2026, a meeting was held at the State Archives of the Gomel Region between archivists, Tamara Nikolaevna Lazaretova, a Gomel City Council Deputy for Southern Electoral District No.19 and Chief Physician of Gomel City Polyclinic No.1, and Anna Kom, a representative of the Youth Council and a lawyer at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center.

Tamara Nikolaevna spoke about the state program «Health of the Nation», as well as the problems and pressing issues that citizens bring to her office.

As a physician, Tamara Nikolaevna Lazaretova particularly understands the value of health. The project «Women’s Health – the Foundation of Demographic Security of the Population of the Republic of Belarus» was launched on her initiative. The meeting with the archivists included an open dialogue on women’s health and the state program of free screening examinations. Tamara Nikolaevna also spoke to the staff about the importance of vaccinating the population during the highly contagious acute respiratory disease and flu season. She discussed the vaccines used, which population groups are more susceptible to respiratory illnesses, and the contraindications to vaccination.

At the end of the meeting, the city council deputy answered numerous questions posed by the archive staff.
