Lessons for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.7 named after S.O.Pritytsky in Grodno» as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign at the State Archives of the Grodno Region
On January 20, 2026, as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign, the State Archives of the Grodno Region held two lessons for eighth-grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.7 named after S.O.Pritytsky in Grodno» on the topics «The State Archives of the Grodno Region: History and Modernity» and «The Partisan Movement in the Grodno Region».
During the lesson, dedicated to the history and development of the State Archives of the Grodno Region, archive staff told the students about the archive’s history, its main activities, and the composition of its documents. Students were presented with the most interesting and valuable documents stored in the archive, as well as collections of documents and materials prepared with the participation of the State Archives of the Grodno Region.
During the second lesson, students were introduced to documents from partisan and underground brigades operating in the Grodno Region during the Nazi occupation: orders from partisan brigade headquarters, combat diaries, notebooks, photographs, as well as memoirs and letters from participants in the Great Patriotic War.
The students were given a tour of the archive, during which they visited the archival storage facility and the laboratory for restoration, binding, and repair of documents.
