The National Archives of the Republic of Belarus summarized its work for 2025
On January 20, 2025, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter NARB) held an extended meeting of the directorate to discuss its work for 2025 and plans for 2026.
NARB Director A.K.Demyanyuk delivered a detailed report. He summarized the archive’s performance in all key areas: acquisition, accounting, preservation, improvement of the NSA, use, digitization, strengthening of the material and technical base, ensuring cybersecurity, human resources, and ideological work. Andrei Konstantinovich thanked the archive’s staff for meeting and exceeding all key performance indicators, provided recommendations, and set goals for 2026. The NARB Director specifically highlighted the priority themes for the archive’s cultural and educational work: the Year of Belarusian Women, the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant tragedy, and the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War. He also emphasized the need to organize planning for the archive’s 100th anniversary in 2027.
O.A.Ledovskaya, First Deputy Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, commended the work of the NARB archivists during 2025 and thanked them for their efforts. She also addressed problematic issues and outlined key areas for work in 2026.
Following the expanded directorate meeting, it was decided to recognize the NARB’s work in 2025 as satisfactory, and priority tasks for 2026 were set.
The directorate meeting concluded with an awards ceremony for the archive’s staff. The Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus awarded a Certificate of Gratitude to D.V.Gritsovets, Head of the Information and Computer Technologies Sector, and T.A.Baranova, Head of the Technical Casework Sector. Certificates of Honor from the NARB were awarded to Kolobaeva U.A., Karas I.A., and Gittskaya T.A.
The following individuals received Certificates of Gratitude from the NARB: Avdeeva O.A., Baubyr Yu.I., Boksha G.I., Zhuk M.V., Lukomskaya E.P., Lukyantseva T.Yu., Monyak V.S., Savochkina I.P., Staroverova A.Yu., Signevich L.N., Smal V.N., Trostyanko I.A., and Trubilo M.L.
The event concluded with the ceremonial opening of the Honor Board, which honors the best NARB employees for their work in 2025: N.V.Isaychuk, R.V.Romanenkova, V.D.Selemenev, S.A.Sivets, N.A.Chertovich, and O.Yu.Yurkevich.
