Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications visited the exhibition «Knight of the Human Spirit» at the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (BSAMLI)
On January 10, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLI) welcomed first-year students of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications. Visitors to the archive were introduced to the literary and documentary exhibition «Knight of the Human Spirit», dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Belarusian writer Vladimir Semenovich Karatkevich.
The exhibition’s curator, leading archivist N.A.Mizon, spoke about the multifaceted personality of Vladimir Semenovich, who worked as a poet, novelist, playwright, publicist, literary critic, translator, and screenwriter.
The exhibition’s manuscripts, drawings, photographs, autographed books, correspondence with friends, and much more, all stored in the archive-museum’s collections, impressed young visitors and offered them a new perspective on the renowned writer, outstanding poet, and literary artist Vladimir Karatkevich.
For students, this was a wonderful opportunity not only to experience the rich legacy of one of Belarus’s greatest creators but also to see how the meticulous work of archivists preserves history for future generations. The tour generated keen interest and many questions, demonstrating the importance of such encounters for young people.
