The National Archives of the Republic of Belarus presents a virtual exhibition, «Outstanding People of Belarus. Belarusian National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (120th Anniversary)»

Studying the lives and works of prominent Belarusian figures allows us to carefully preserve the history of the Belarusian state.

This virtual exhibition, prepared using documents from the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB), is dedicated to Konstantin Naumovich Dlugashevsky, a statesman of the BSSR and a participant in the Great Patriotic War.

The biography and career of K.N.Dlugashevsky reflect the development of Belarus in the pre-war, wartime, and post-war periods. Working for Soviet authorities in the 1930s, displaying heroism on the front lines of the Great Patriotic War, and actively participating in the post-war reconstruction of Belarus as Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee and Head of the Main Directorate of Public Utilities under the Council of Ministers of the BSSR, Konstantin Naumovich made a significant contribution to the development and prosperity of Belarus.

Documents from the collections of NARB No.4p «Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus», No.123 «Ministry of Housing and Public Utilities of the Republic of Belarus», No.968 «Supreme Council of the Republic of Belarus», and others presented at the virtual exhibition provide an opportunity for a multidimensional understanding of the role of the individual in history, reminding us that history is shaped by individuals and their dedication to their work.
