Archival Lesson «Scanning as a Preservation Method» as Part of the «Young Archivist» Project

On December 2, 2025, as part of the «Young Archivist» project, an archival lesson on «Scanning as a Preservation Method» was held for students of the Polotsk State Forestry College branch of the Belarusian State Technical University (BSTU) at the Zonal State Archives in Polotsk.

The goal of the lesson was to introduce students to the process of scanning documents in state archives, its importance for preserving historical data, and simplifying access to archival information. The lesson also aims to develop students’ skills in working with archival materials and an understanding of the importance of digitalization for modern archival work.
