On November 28, the Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin held a presentation of the collection «Industrial Development in the Zhlobin District in the Postwar Years (1944-1950)». Opening the event, Archives Director Galina Anatolyevna Dudareva expressed gratitude to the entire team of active and proactive archival staff who diligently worked on the preparation of this collection, noting it as the result of painstaking and multi-day work.
This collection is based on documents held in the collections of the Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin. It sheds light on the restoration and development of industrial enterprises in the Zhlobin District in the postwar period, serving as an important source for studying the historical development of the region during this period.
This publication is intended for a wide range of readers interested in the history of Zhlobin and the Zhlobin District. This collection brings together 200 original documents, most of which are published for the first time, under a single cover. All materials are drawn from the collections of the Zhlobin City and District Council of Workers’ Deputies and their executive committees, as well as the Streshinsky District Council of Workers’ Deputies and its executive committee. Furthermore, the preparation of this collection included the use of many unique documents previously inaccessible to the general public.
For the convenience of users, an electronic version of the collection is available on the «Archives of Belarus» website, allowing access to the materials remotely. This collection will be a valuable historical resource for researchers, students, and anyone interested in reconstructing the industrial and socioeconomic development of the Zhlobin District in the postwar years.
