Documents on the liberation of the Gomel region from the Nazi invaders from the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa

In anticipation of the 82nd anniversary of the liberation of Rechitsa and the districts served by the Rechitsa State Archives from the Nazi invaders, the publication of Sovinformburo reports from those days continues. For example, a report from November 17, 1943 (F.163, Op.1, D.1, L.32) reports that in the lower reaches of the Pripyat River, the Red Army occupied the settlements of Chemerisy, Asarevichi, Kolyban, Posudovo, and Zalesye in the Bragin District and Novosyolki in the Khoyniki District. In the Rechitsa District, Soviet troops captured heavily fortified strongholds – Peresvyatoye, Rebusa, Derazhnya, Rudnya, and Ozershchina – and fought on the western outskirts of Rechitsa.
