The Department of Energy Efficiency announces the launch of the national information and educational campaign «Belarus – an Energy-Efficient Country». Join us!

From November 10 to 20, 2025, the Department of Energy Efficiency is holding the national information and educational campaign «Belarus – an Energy-Efficient Country». It is timed to coincide with International Energy Saving Day (November 11).

This campaign is being held to implement the provisions of the Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated June 14, 2007, No.3, «On Priority Directions for Strengthening the Economic Security of the State», and the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated January 8, 2015, No.239-Z, «On Energy Saving».

The goal of the campaign is to raise public awareness of the importance of efficient use of energy resources and possible ways and methods of saving them, including in everyday life and at home. This is a significant measure in improving the well-being of citizens and the economic growth of the country as a whole.

Considering that efficient and sustainable energy consumption largely depends on the mobilization of efforts by all government agencies, institutions, organizations, businesses, public associations, and the media, the Department of Energy Efficiency encourages you to join the national information and educational campaign «Belarus – an Energy-Efficient Country» and actively participate in informing employees and the public about the importance of energy efficiency and ways to save energy in everyday life.

For International Energy Saving Day, the Department of Energy Efficiency is organizing a number of thematic events: round tables and training seminars for specialists; open lessons and information hours, intellectual games, competitions, and quizzes for children and youth; mini-competitions for social media subscribers; hotlines to answer the most pressing questions from citizens and organizations; and press events for media representatives. The events are aimed at raising awareness of energy efficiency and conservation, promoting the economic, environmental, and social benefits of an energy- and resource-efficient lifestyle in a manner accessible to the general public, and strengthening our country’s energy independence.

Information materials on these topics are available on the Department of Energy Efficiency’s website in the «Popular Information on Energy Conservation/Useful Tips» section.
