On the Visit of Communications Veterans to the State Archives of the Brest Region

On October 21, communications veterans and former employees of the Brest branch of the Beltelecom Republican Unitary Enterprise visited the State Archives of the Brest Region.

The veterans were briefed on the archive’s main activities and the composition and content of the documents stored there. The visitors were particularly interested in documents from the Nazi occupation period, as well as the development of the region in the post-war period.

As part of the event, a documentary film, «On the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Brest from Nazi Invaders», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, was shown.

The guests also took a tour of the archives, including a visit to the archive storage facility and the laboratory for the repair and restoration of archival documents.
