History Lesson at Secondary School No.4 in Rechitsa

On October 17, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa held a history lesson for high school students.

Archives staff told the children the history of their native Rechitsa, from the year the city was first mentioned in chronicles (1213) to the present day. Famous natives and residents of Rechitsa who brought fame to the city through their labor achievements were mentioned. The narrative was supported by a display of archival documents from the history of Rechitsa after the Great Patriotic War (on the establishment of industrial enterprises, the naming of city landmarks after famous Rechitsa residents, etc.).

Finally, the young people were shown the documentary «History of the Great Victory», prepared using newsreel footage from the collections of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive.
