On the participation of the State Archives of the Gomel Region in the Republican volunteer campaign «Give the Forest a New Life!»

The «Give the Forest a New Life!» campaign is taking place in Belarus from October 11th to 31st and is dedicated to the Year of Improvement.

On October 18th, 2025, Victoria Rudenko, a first-category archivist in the Document Records and Preservation Department and a member of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, took part in the Republican volunteer campaign «Give the Forest a New Life!», which was dedicated to forest restoration, particularly in windfall- and deadfall-affected areas in the Gomel Region.

«Participating in such a campaign is very important to me. We are restoring the area after the recent natural disaster. The forest is our future, the green lungs of our beloved Motherland, and our health», Victoria said.

Volunteers, representatives of public organizations, and students planted pine and oak saplings in the Rechitsa Forestry near the village of Girov. Last year, many trees in this area were damaged by severe weather.
