Participation of the National Historical Archives of Belarus in the «Give the Forest a New Life» National Campaign

On October 9, 2025, Mikhail Glushakov, Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus, along with the heads and staff of other national archival institutions, took part in the «Give the Forest a New Life» national campaign. The campaign is being held by the Ministry of Forestry in October 2025. The goal of the campaign is to restore the country’s forest resources.

In 2025, Belarusian forestry enterprises carried out clear-cut sanitary felling on approximately 11,000 hectares of forest damaged by severe winds. Some of the damaged areas have already been restored, while others will be restored this fall.

About 1,000 spruce and pine saplings were planted in the Stankovskoye forestry of the Minsk forestry enterprise.
