Meeting of Oleg Leonidovich Voinov, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, with students of the History Faculty of BSU

On September 19, 2025, a meeting with Oleg Leonidovich Voinov, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, was held at the History Faculty of BSU. Students majoring in Archival Science and Records Management participated.

The event was opened by Professor Alexander Gennadievich Kokhanovsky, Dean of the Faculty, who outlined the purpose of the meeting: deepening cooperation between the History Faculty and the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus in training specialists in archival science and records management.

Oleg Leonidovich Voinov presented a report, «On the Main Areas of Work in the Archival Industry of the Republic of Belarus», at the Belarusian State University.

The presentation covered the results of the state program «Culture of Belarus» for 2021-2025, the expansion and modernization of the material and technical base of Belarusian archives, document digitization, and publishing activities. Particular attention was paid to the creation of videos and films, including those using artificial intelligence technologies, as well as the implementation of youth projects, such as the «Archives for Schools» campaign.

The presentation generated interest among students, and questions were raised about the opportunities and prospects for career and professional growth in the archival industry of Belarus, as well as the work being carried out by the Department to attract specialists to the archival industry and improve their professional skills.
