Informational Hour «History of the Archival Service of Belarus. The Profession of Archivist» at the Zonal State Archives in Orsha

On September 20, 2025, as part of the national «Archives for School» campaign, an informational hour «History of the Archival Service of Belarus. The Profession of Archivist» was held at the Zonal State Archives in Orsha with eighth-grade students from Orsha Secondary School No.2 and Yulia Ivanovna Gryadovka, Lead Archivist of the Document Management Department.

During this event, students, through a guided tour of the archive, learned about the profession of archivist, the history of the archival service in the Orsha District, the existing network of archival institutions in the Republic of Belarus, learned about the archive’s main activities and the composition of its collections, the specifics of working with and storing archival documents, and viewed the exhibition stands on display at the archive.
