The State Archives of the Vitebsk Region has prepared a virtual exhibition of documents «The Formation of Soviet Power in Western Belarus: on the Pages of Memories», dedicated to the Day of National Unity in the Republic of Belarus
The exhibition is presented by materials from the collection of documents with the memoirs of participants and witnesses of the establishment of Soviet power in the territories of Western Belarus, which became part of the BSSR in 1939, as well as minutes of meetings of the Vitebsk City Committee of the Communist Party (bolsheviks) of Belarus on the preparation and holding of the celebration of September 17 and texts of articles on the reunification of the Belarusian people in a single state, published in the newspaper «Vitebsk Workers» for 1947, 1949, 1950 and 1969.
