Zonal State Archive in Krichev in the preparation and holding of an exhibition and conversation within the framework of the republican action «Archives – to School»

On August 18, 2025, within the framework of the republican action «Archives – to School» on the basis of the institution in the «Zonal State Archive in Krichev» leading archivist Victoria Kondratenko prepared and presented a stand exhibition «History in Books», and also held a conversation «We honor the memory of history» for students of the summer health camp «Summer Tale».

The leading archivist acquainted the children with archival materials confirming the atrocities of the Nazis on the Krichev land, eyewitness accounts of the mass murder of civilians, and those who defended our region. The children animatedly shared their impressions, told about their great-grandfathers and great-grandmothers who fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. In the reading room, a stand exhibition «History in Books» was prepared for visitors. Then the children were invited to visit the storage facility, to see how and where the documents are stored.
