The Zonal State Archive in Rechitsa presents a document on the opening of the ecological and cultural center in Rechitsa
On June 3, 2008, the decision No.1656 of the Rechitsa District Executive Committee (F.348. Op.4. D.201. L.32) was issued on the opening of the Rechitsa ecological and cultural center in a pre-revolutionary building on Sovetskaya Street, 34, where the post and telegraph office and music school were previously located. The center opened its doors to visitors on September 6, 2008 – the day of the VI Republican Ecological Forum in Rechitsa.
The State Institution of Culture «Rechitsa Ecological and Cultural Center» was created to meet the spiritual, cultural and other non-material needs of the population and sets as its main goal the promotion and preservation of the Belarusian national heritage in the field of ecology and culture. Under its roof are two exhibition halls with modern expositions. Since 2014, the eco-multi-studio «Multi-Pulti» has been operating on the basis of the ecological and cultural center, whose graduates participate and win various international competitions.
The main objectives of the center are:
˗ Development of research activities in the field of ecology, nature conservation, increasing their role in the formation of culture, spiritual development of children and youth;
˗ Environmental education and training of children, youth and adults in the region;
˗ Formation of healthy lifestyle skills and environmental culture in the population;
˗ Promotion of protection and conservation of natural resources;
˗ Development of international cooperation in the field of ecology and culture;
˗ Promotion of cognitive activity in the organization of free time of the population;
˗ Provision of methodological and practical assistance to institutions, organizations, enterprises of the city and district, individual citizens on issues of organizing and holding cultural and mass events of an environmental focus.
